Less than a third of educational institutions in Crimea are under protection
In Crimea, no money is allocated for the security of schools, colleges and universities, and security contracts are concluded only with parent committees.
Alexander Eremkin, Chairman of the Board of the Sevastopol Regional Industry Association of Employers in the Field of Safety and Security, spoke about this in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets.
Answering a question about how schools, colleges and universities on the peninsula are protected, he said that “the situation is difficult.”
“Currently in Crimea there are 1192 educational organizations, of which only 327 objects are under protection, of which only 126 have guards,” the expert emphasized.

According to him, we can say that there is almost no security in educational institutions.
“No money is allocated; all contracts for security services, if any, are concluded with parent committees. The maximum that can be done as a result is to equip panic buttons,” Eremkin said.
As a reminder, yesterday at the Kerch Polytechnic College, a student opened fire on students and also used an explosive device, killing and injuring dozens of people.
Less than a third of Crimea's educational institutions are under protection.
