Law enforcers seized equipment from the detainee, very similar to that used to make remote explosions, TSN TV channel reported.
A man suspected of sabotage activity watched the city’s fortifications for several nights in a row and hid in a hut in a forest belt. When they tried to detain him, he tried to run away. As one of the participants in the arrest says, an unknown person tried to burn the Russian flag. Law enforcement officials did not explain why the saboteur would keep the symbols of a neighboring state.
“The presence of certain tattoos on the body of a detainee, which are on the body of this person, indicates that this person belongs to certain special services,” says the head of the National Defense Headquarters, Yuri Bereza.
Law enforcement officers are trying to establish the identity of the detainee, since no documents were found on him during the search.
As Navigator reported, today the SBU, on the eve of the May holidays, announced the detention of saboteurs in a number of regions: Nikolaev, Lugansk and Zaporozhye. Earlier, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that pre-trial detention centers in Kyiv are already overcrowded with citizens detained for provocative actions, including by Russian intelligence officers.
