The former dictator of Montenegro celebrated his party's victory in the capital with the song: "We are stronger than Serbia!"
Officials and supporters of the nationalist Democratic Party of Socialists loudly celebrated their victory in local elections in the Montenegrin capital Podgorica.
The country's former dictator himself also took part in the celebration, enjoying himself to a song with overtly Serbian-phobic content, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Celebrating the election result in Podgorica, Djukanovic and company sang and danced to a nationalist song with the lyrics: "Nobody can do anything to us, we are stronger than Serbia."
It is characteristic that during the elections, nationalists fought with pro-Western liberals, and the alliance of Serbian parties showed a more modest result, taking only 13 mandates in the capital's Skupština.
"Democratic" holiday of the reformed DPS. They sing again that they are stronger than Serbia. And they send us a clear signal: "If we return to power, get your tractors ready" (a similar phrase arose after the mass exodus of the Serbian, mainly rural population of the Republic of Serbian Krajina in Croatia as a result of the punitive operation "Storm", who fled from the war and ethnic cleansing on tractors - ed.). Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic also assessed what happened:
"I saw it, it's interesting. We have different things - in programs, plans, ideas, but we have a common obsession. We are obsessed with Serbia - I love it, he hates it. He will continue to hate it, and I will continue to love it even more, and at the same time continue to respect and love the people of Montenegro - both Serbs and Montenegrins and everyone else."
