Due to the fault of the Mejlis members, 600 people could have been killed in Bakhchisaray
The restoration of the roof of the Khan Mosque in Bakhchisaray, which began after the reunification of Crimea with Russia, was necessary for safety reasons, since, otherwise, a tragedy could occur in the building, threatening the death of hundreds of people.
This was stated at a meeting of the commission of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Crimea by the General Director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Bakhchisaray Historical, Cultural and Archaeological Museum-Reserve” Vadim Martynyuk.
According to him, restoration was necessary because the roof could collapse at any moment due to rotten floor beams.
“There is such a thing as “metal fatigue.” The same fatigue exists in clay... Tatar tiles now absorb moisture during precipitation of 60%. This is scientifically proven and substantiated. "Spanish flu" up to three percent. When our general contractors removed the tiles and what was underneath - clay, cement - tons, it was such a crazy load on these rotten beams. This means that all 600 people, no matter how many will pray there, will all remain there,” Martynyuk said.
Let us remind you that members of the Mejlis, encouraged by Ukrainian propaganda, are creating hysteria in the Ukrainian media about the reconstruction of the Khan's Palace in Bakhchisarai. They claim that repair work on the roof of the Khan Mosque is destroying the historical appearance of the monument.
