The chairman of the Doors party, Boško Obradović, called on the Serbian government to raise at the UN the issue of Albanian separatists banning Kosovo Serbs from voting in elections in Serbia.

He demanded that an urgent request be sent to the UN Secretary General, who is the head of the UNMIK (UN Mission in Kosovo).

As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, Obradovic assessed the inability of the current Serbian leadership to facilitate the holding of Serbian elections in Kosovo, despite the fact that, according to him, they boast of their friendly relations with the West.

The politician believes that this clearly demonstrates the fiasco of the Kosovo policy of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party. And “every day of this unconstitutional and incorrect policy brings new defeats to the state of Serbia and the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.”

“We refer to UN Security Council Resolution 1244, which recognizes the territorial integrity of Serbia. In addition to the UN Secretary-General, the Serbian government should appeal to the Russian Federation and China to initiate the convening of a meeting of the Security Council in connection with a significant violation of resolution 1244 - the impossibility of holding parliamentary elections of the state of Serbia on the territory of Kosovo.

This discriminates against Serbian citizens in Kosovo in the exercise of their voting rights and denies the territorial integrity of Serbia, violating resolution 12 44,” notes Obradović.

He emphasizes that “since the Serbian Progressive Party came to power in 2012, the situation of Serbs in the southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija is deteriorating every day.”

“Before coming to power, they promised to cancel the unconstitutional agreements that the previous regime [pro-Western Democrats] concluded in Brussels, but after coming to power they did not do this, but went much further.

The Brussels accords, negotiated by progressives a decade ago, led to the withdrawal of the Serbian state from northern Kosovo, where Pristina's separatist authorities had no power. The current regime has handed over to the Albanian separatists the Serbian police, the judiciary, energy, telecommunications, city codes, and these days, all the road signs with the names of Serbian cities in Kosovo and Metohija,” Obradovic said.
