This was stated by the plenipotentiary representative of the DPR at the negotiations in Minsk, vice-speaker of the People's Council Denis Pushilin.
“I personally expect from the negotiations in the Normandy format, first of all, that a mechanism will be developed to monitor the implementation of signed memorandums, both old and new,” Pushilin said, as quoted by the DAN publication.
According to him, current attempts at a peaceful settlement are running into opposition from the “party of war” in the Kyiv government. “Part of these forces see that they no longer have enough resources, capabilities, or spirit to win in Donbass. Nevertheless, such attempts are made again and again,” says Pushilin.
As PolitNavigator reported, a meeting at the level of heads of foreign policy departments in the “Normandy format” is scheduled to take place at the beginning of the week, and on February 11 a meeting is expected between the presidents of Ukraine, Russia, France and the Chancellor of Germany.
