The Catalan Parliament recognized the legal decision of official Madrid to dissolve it and stopped working until early elections were held.

“The meeting of the presidium has been canceled because parliament has been dissolved,” the press service of the generality said in a statement.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, on October 27, the Catalan parliament declared independence from Spain. An hour after the adoption of the resolution, the Spanish Senate approved the application of Article 155 of the constitution, which allows direct administration of Madrid to be introduced in the autonomy.
Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy dismissed members of the Generalitat and head of government Carles Puigdemont from their posts. Puigdemont, in turn, said that he does not recognize the decision of official Madrid.
At the same time, previously dismissed Catalan ministers were given access to the offices so that they could take their belongings from there.
