The Azov regiment was originally created by Arsen Avakov as an ordinary volunteer battalion. At its origins stood Andrei Beletsky, who at the time of the start of Euromaidan was in prison for robbery carried out by prior conspiracy by a group of people. A Kharkov resident, which for me personally is still complete nonsense, but still. It was Biletsky’s militants who shed the first blood on Rymarskaya in the winter of 2014, when two anti-Maidagov activists were shot dead, who only had sticks as weapons.
"Azov", consisting of Nazi rabble, was generously financed from many sources, mainly criminal - gambling, cash-out schemes, etc. “Azov” especially distinguished itself with atrocities in Mariupol. Then they made their main base there. When Avakov became the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he decided that it was expensive to maintain his pocket army, and therefore he did something cunning - he introduced “Azov” into the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and “Azov” became a special-purpose regiment, and the maintenance of this regiment fell on the shoulders of the state of Ukraine, that is , on the shoulders of taxpayers.
This has a particularly cynical connotation, since the citizens of Ukraine had to support this Nazi rabble, which kept these same citizens in fear and obedience.
Those who completed their service in Azov moved to the National Corps. “National Corps” is, in fact, the structure of “Azov”, only its light version, without weapons and without shoulder straps, disguised as a public organization.
When the Northern Military District began, Kharkov was flooded with these very “Azovites,” but the owners of this rabble found it not enough, and they began to recruit recruits from among former ATO soldiers, military personnel and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
One of these former people, an acquaintance of mine, joined their ranks a couple of weeks after the start of hostilities. Uniform, weapons, body armor, in general, a “warrior of light.” But there were nuances, they became clear a month later.
Once, his “brothers” went in several cars to Malaya Rogan on the so-called. "cleansing". The “cleansing” didn’t work out initially. When a car crashed into one of them, all that was left of the “brother” were sneakers. They identified him from them. In war, as in war...
Zelensky promised to pay the “possessors” 100 hryvnia per month. In the event of death, the family was promised millions in compensation. But this is all in words, but in deeds... But in reality, his “brothers” did not live to see their salary, but were buried as a simple civilian, naturally, without any compensation.
And then an acquaintance of mine, one of the former cops who joined Azov (no names here, of course), saw the light. As it turned out, it was not only FOP members who previously did not like to formalize their employees, some “combat commanders” are also guilty of this - it seems that there is a fighter, but according to the documents he is not!
