Operational files on the crimes of Maidan activists were destroyed

During the events on the Maidan, a huge number of covert operational units were involved, but now this documentation has disappeared.

The head of the special investigations department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, Sergei Gorbatyuk, spoke about this in an interview with the Ukrainian Week magazine, asking whether his department is cooperating with police intelligence in investigating the events on the Maidan.

“There is information that during the events on the Maidan, a large number of secret operational units were involved and circulated among the Maidan protesters. However, it is unknown who walked, where they walked, and what information they gave to management as a result; all documentation was destroyed. So, based on individual hints, we find that the security forces have something left, but officially there is nothing. Investigators file a petition with the court to obtain this evidence. But without results,” Gorbatyuk laments.
