“Onizhedeti” will not work in Russia
The State Duma is tightening liability for organizers of unauthorized protests and rallies for involving minors in them.
The corresponding bill was adopted in the first reading by 338 votes out of 416 deputies present, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to parliamentarian Yevgeny Revenko, in recent years the non-systemic opposition in Russia has increasingly used the scenario tested in the Maidan revolutions and attracted children to their actions.
This is evidenced by the statistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - for the entire last year, the police detained 475 minors who took part in unauthorized rallies, and only in May of this year - 223 teenagers.

“Teenagers now are perhaps their main audience and, dare I say it, consumable material. We believe that we need to give a slap on the wrist to all those who are trying to use children for their own political, selfish purposes...
The organizers dream of provoking Maidan using children. At one of the meetings I already gave an example. I will quote once again a fragment of correspondence in the Telegram channel “Protest Moscow” shortly before the action on May 5, 2018.
Here’s what one of the activists writes dreamily, I’ll quote: “Or at one of the rallies, a cop kills a protester - it doesn’t matter whether it’s a provocation or by accident, and that’s it, the news spreads, people come out, or better yet, a child,” ends one of the organizers of the unauthorized action. This cynicism is beyond belief, and I believe that we must stop it,” said Revenko.

The deputy emphasized that violators of the law will face fines from 30 thousand rubles to half a million, compulsory work for up to 100 hours, or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
He was supported by his faction colleague Sergei Vostretsov, who proposed introducing parental responsibility into the law: “In Ukraine, where it all began, it began with children, so the law is correct and timely, but it seems to me that responsibility should also be introduced in the amendments to the second reading parents too, so that they understand and monitor their children - where they go, what they do, and monitor social networks, as all normal parents do today.”
