According to a Ukrainian official, the doubling of passenger traffic allegedly occurred when official Kyiv refused direct flights with Russia.

“I am convinced that the same story will happen with train and bus services,” Omelyan said.

Previously, he announced the cessation of passenger railway communication with the Russian Federation, proposing an original way to get to Moscow - “by bear”.

According to former Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kava, the cessation of railway communication with Russia will bring enormous losses to Ukraine, both economically and socially. “Ukrzaliznytsia,” according to him, will lose four billion hryvnia in income from this.
