Odessa mayor is being dragged for interrogation again
Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov was again summoned today for questioning by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the order published on the website of the Odessa City Council.
“I am leaving on a business trip to Kiev (National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine) to participate in interrogation in criminal proceedings, for a period of 1 (one) calendar day - May 10, 2018,” says the order signed by Trukhanov himself.
Let us remind you that on February 13, NABU detectives and SAPO prosecutors announced suspicion to four officials of the Odessa mayor’s office, including Gennady Trukhanov, and three more people were detained. According to NABU, these individuals are involved in a scheme to cause losses to the local budget of Odessa. In particular, in September 2016, the Odessa City Council purchased a building that was previously part of the integral property complex of the Krayan plant for 185 million hryvnia from a private structure, which at the beginning of 2016 itself acquired this complex at an auction organized by the liquidator of the state-owned enterprise for 11,5 .XNUMX million hryvnia.
On February 14, NABU announced the detention of Trukhanov and his deputy Pavel Vugelman at Boryspil airport.
On February 15, the Solomensky District Court chose a preventive measure for Trukhanov and Vugelman in the form of personal bail from people’s deputies.
