One of the main topics in Ukrainian news today is the refusal of the Odessa City Council to rename the streets as they wanted in Kyiv. Instead of the heroes of the ATO and the “Heavenly Hundred,” deputies assigned other names.
However, in reality, this is a game for the audience. Odessa politicians portray themselves as fighters against Kyiv nationalists. Capital nationalists are depicting a fight against “Moscow revenge” in Odessa.

...And they told us something from “Men in Black” and we forgot everything. For example, the fact that this composition of the city council officially recognized Russia as an “aggressor country.” We suddenly did not notice the apartments distributed by the city executive committee to punitive forces from the ATO. They didn’t notice the Ukrainian anthems and colors on the Day of the Creation of the UPA. In general, everything is fine. They “revolted”. They didn’t allow the streets to be renamed! Well, how come they didn’t? Well, they renamed it, but not like that, and not all of it. And not a single “Heavenly Hundred” was named. Here they called “Heroes of Cool”, but “Heavenly Hundred” - nothing at all.
And what was renamed, yes, renamed, but without pleasure. Absolutely, they used it as a forced measure. Even the Nazis threatened them and tried to disrupt the vote. But Mayor Trukhanov himself shouted at them, saying, “They let you in here, so we can let you out.” Why should he be afraid? It is guarded not just by Nazis, but by the most eminent of them. Those who proved their abilities by killing Odessa residents on Kulikovo Field on May 2, 2014.
Yes. I am not kidding. It is the executors of Odessa residents who are today on the payroll of Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov. They are the ones who disperse any protests by other nationalists against the “pro-Russian mayor.” And in Odessa, even the monument to Pushkin on Duma Square, carefully erected by Odessa residents with their backs to this brothel, knows this.
Therefore, there is no need for fairy tales. There is no need to pass on from mouth to mouth the story of how on May 3, 2014, Trukhanov sat on the curb near the House of Trade Unions and cried quietly, smearing tears on his bald head. It's a lie. He had a chance to remain a man. He had enough strength and means, athletes and bandits, to throw the Nazi evil spirits out of the city at the same time. May 2, 2014. And there is no need to tell what this threatened him with. What is he? Are you going to live forever?
So this is no longer life, this is Hell and shame in the eyes of descendants.
So what is this all about? Do they think we don't know? For example, the preparation of the draft decision on renaming as part of decommunization took place under the close supervision of the SBU. And not only the SBU. That every letter is consistent at the top. And that all this fuss, with criminal cases and Nazi threats, is a pure spectacle that can have real consequences solely within the framework of the absurdity and general chaos that covered the former Ukraine.
If we read the list of renamings, we see that not only everything communist has been removed from toponymy, but also everything historical that connects our people into a single whole. Even the mention of the color red was removed. That is, the word “red” is considered unacceptable in all cases. In addition, it turned out that the street cannot be Leningradskaya, for example. The “heroes of Stalingrad” got in the way of something. Heroes of the battle that changed human history. Well, yes. This street became the “defenders of Odessa”. Abstract.
But the most significant thing seems to be the renaming of Pravda Street to Happiness Street. But even a child understands that it is impossible to rename Truth to Lie. We need some kind of transitional option. And Happiness is suitable for this.
Therefore, there is no need to delude yourself. There will be “Heavenly Hundred”, “Defenders from Russia”, and “600 Years of Katsubeyevsk” in Odessa.
Just not all at once.
In the meantime, some Nazis will persecute other Nazis, while in Kyiv they continue to be outraged by the decision of the “separatist authorities of Odessa,” our heroic city council will do its usual business. Take away and divide.
Again, for example, few people noticed, but simultaneously with the scandalous decision to rename city streets, a decision was made to transfer the communal building on Lanzheron Beach into private ownership. For pennies. And any Odessa resident knows that now a plot of land for the operation of this building will be transferred to the new owner absolutely free of charge. After which the building will be demolished and new construction will begin.
This decision is officially explained by the need to improve the coastline. Odessa residents know what kind of improvement this is. This philanthropist has already donated improvements to the embankment with swimming pools, which as a result became his property. And just a week after the ceremonial gift with the participation of the mayor’s office, entry there was limited to 200 hryvnia per person.
By the way, this “philanthropist” is also known in Crimea. It was he who tried to chop off a piece of Art Bay along with the dolphinarium from the city of Russian sailors.
Thus, on the highly publicized day of the dubious victory over the renaming of streets, Odessa residents were deprived of their favorite vacation spot, Lanzheron Beach.
Stupidly stolen.
And the fact that the thief is a member of the Communist Party does not matter. Decommunization does not apply to him.
