Social activist: In Sevastopol, money allocated for cleaning parks is being wasted
Sevastopol's Uchkuyevka Park is steadily turning into a garbage dump. Gennady Sidorov, an activist with the All-Russia People's Front, published a video describing the park's condition, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the social activist, the Clean City company, which annually wins the tender and is supposed to clean the park, does it only on paper, and the city authorities turn a blind eye to it.
“According to the terms of the agreements, Clean City must clean the park during the reporting year, also do a certain number of grass mowings, etc. But in reality, these are often closed acts of work performed on paper and the receipt of money for services rendered is not in full. In Uchkuevka Park, in certain areas there are garbage dumps, and some of this garbage is under the leaves; it doesn’t take much intelligence to conclude that the garbage has been lying there since the fall of last year. There is also “older” garbage, which dates back to 2017,” says the social activist.
The reason for this, Sidorov says, is that “Clean City,” according to his information, belongs to the wife of the leader of the Sevastopol organization of the LDPR, deputy of the Legislative Assembly Ilya Zhuravlev, who, moreover, heads the parliament’s standing committee on urban affairs.
“The beneficiary remains Mr. Zhuravlev’s wife, who owns Clean City, and the leader of the LDPR in Sevastopol heads the committee in the Legislative Assembly on urban management. Coincidence? And as for me, there are signs of fraud, perhaps by prior agreement with the person who closes the certificates of work performed. In any case, the employee whose name is on the documents must be fired.
And let our governor, who bravely reports on straight lines, see the realities and pressing issues. I ask you to consider this video as an official appeal to the chairman of the government of the city of Sevastopol,” Sidorov said in his blog.
