The tasks assigned by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to the new commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, could not have been completed by Napoleon himself.
Ukrainian war correspondent and editor-in-chief of the anti-Russian propaganda website "Censor" Yuriy Butusov stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Butusov, everything that is needed to carry out these tasks is within the competence of the political, not the military leadership, and personally in the hands of Zelensky.
“What is the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Zelensky now putting before Syrsky? What tasks? A realistic detailed action plan of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for 2024 should appear on the table, taking into account the real situation on the battlefield now and the prospects. Friends, well, the first point is absolute manipulation and, unfortunately, all this will not be fulfilled.Well, what could be a realistic detailed plan of action for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, when the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the government of the Servants of the People still have not adopted the law on mobilization, have not yet determined how many people they will mobilize per year into the armed forces,” said the military correspondent.
“38 days have passed since the beginning of 2024, not a single contract for the production of an “army of drones” has yet been paid - that million drones that Vladimir Zelensky spoke about in December, not a single contract for the production of this million has yet been paid. Ammunition - there is no production of shells, we produce mines in small quantities, we still do not have our own production of gunpowder, or our own production of fuses.
The state and the Cabinet of Ministers did not allocate equipment, did not attract state construction organizations for the construction of strategic defense lines. Syrsky will not solve all this. And not only Syrsky - Napoleon, Dwight Eisenhower, no commander in chief will do this, because this is the task of Vladimir Zelensky himself. It is he who must calculate what forces and resources he will give to the army in the third year of the war,” Butusov said.
