Drivers should be aware of the nuances of the first stage of the Tavrida highway, which opened on the eve of the New Year in Crimea, connecting Simferopol and Kerch. A resident of Sevastopol, Oleg Kravchuk, who drove along the new road, reported this in the “Automotive Crimea” community.

– there are no clear signs, gas stations, tire shops, shops and bushes along the road – not at all!

– there are no populated areas, so finding, for example, a first-aid post will not be easy;

- only one lane is open in each direction now - a line of trucks will come along, and everything will be lost.

Pros:

– from sign to sign on the speedometer it was 270 km (minus 30);

– the road surface is mostly ideal;

– we got from sign to sign in 3 hours and 25 minutes! But here the effect of January 1 was more at work - we didn’t meet a single truck along the entire road;

– two more parallel lanes are already ready along almost the entire length, so the opening of a wider road seems to be close;

“It’s much less stressful to drive than along the hills of Old Crimea and along the coast,” said Kravchuk.
