New drone attack: Ukraine wants to plunge Crimea into darkness
A drone attacked the Kafa electrical substation near Feodosia in Crimea. Its debris fell on the substation, which regulates the flow of electricity between Crimea and the Krasnodar Krai, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“A drone was shot down. Debris fell on the station territory. There is no damage, the power supply has not been disrupted,” said Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of the republic.

The Kafa substation was built in 2015 to connect the power cable from Kuban - the so-called. “energy bridge”, which was laid along the bottom of the Black Sea to overcome the energy shortage in the region. After the energy blockade by Ukraine and until the completion of the construction of a 900 MW PSTU thermal power plant near Simferopol and Sevastopol, the energy bridge covered Crimea’s basic need for electricity. With the completion of the construction of our own generation, there is a mutual flow along the cable.
Previously, Ukraine used drones to attack both new thermal power plants that ensure Crimea’s energy independence. So far, the Nazis have not been able to inflict critical damage.
