On the border with Crimea, Ukrainian border guards, together with representatives of the Kherson regional state administration, congratulated passing motorists on the anniversary of Ukraine's independence.

According to the department, border guards greeted and escorted all citizens with state symbols and flags and presented them with holiday greeting cards with best wishes.
“This action has been taking place for the second year in a row and, first of all, it is aimed at supporting Crimeans, citizens of Ukraine, who are not allowed by the occupation authorities to celebrate Ukrainian holidays on the territory of the peninsula,” the department pompously notes.
