“Unreal and stupid. Russia is not going to invade Ukraine” – Pogrebinsky
Russia is not going to seize and annex all of Ukraine - this is an unnecessary “burden” that may turn out to be too heavy. We can only talk about the fact that if the current policy of the Ukrainian authorities towards the Donbass republics is maintained, the DPR and LPR can become part of Russia.
The well-known Kyiv political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the air of the PolitWera internet channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Firstly, no one is going to seize not only Western, but also Eastern Ukraine. This is all overwhelming, unrealistic, stupid. How might this ultimately end? The fact that Donbass will end up in Russia is possible, I admit this given the policy that Kyiv is pursuing. And as for everything else, people whom I respect say: “Well, don’t do Donbass like that, you need to take at least half of Ukraine.”
