The leader of one of the Crimean cells of the Jehovah's Witnesses organization banned in the Russian Federation was detained in the regional center of Razdolnoye. The 68-year-old woman led the sect, attracted new members, held meetings and distributed extremist materials among adherents.
Jehovah's Witnesses cell the pensioner made her money in September 2021, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".

She self-proclaimed herself a leader and began to convene meetings to promote the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses, and I bought the necessary literature abroad and imported it into the territory of the Russian Federation. It was propagated locally and distributed among the flock.
“The woman carried out ideological and propaganda activities, involving new members in the organization, organized secret gatherings of participants, at which classes were held on the study of forbidden literature, independently made decisions on admitting new people to the organization and determined the personal composition of speakers at worship services, in which at least four permanent members took part. During the gathering, audio and video recordings containing prohibited materials were publicly played.
The leader together with the members of the association encouraged ordinary citizens to sever kinship, family and friendly relations with persons who are not followers of the organization, and to refuse medical intervention“, noted the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
The pensioner was charged charge of organizing the activities of an extremist organization. A criminal case has been opened. 68-year-old woman faces up to 2 years in prison.

This organization, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation, was not among the prohibited ones during the period of Ukrainian jurisdiction, and under the influence of preachers - hundreds, if not thousands of people donated savings and real estate for the benefit of the pseudo-Christian church.
