“It’s not “Putin’s mistake”, but the breakthrough of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Crimea” - in Kyiv they are furious with the Americans’ wording
After the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson, the Ukrainian Armed Forces took full fire control of the Left Bank of the Dnieper, right down to direct communications with Crimea.
Ukrainian "military expert" Dmitry Snegirev stated this on Radio NV, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The expert reacted very strongly to the publication of the American Institute for the Study of War that the Ukrainian Armed Forces should take advantage of “Putin’s mistake” in the Kherson region to continue the counteroffensive.
“What “Putin’s mistake” are we talking about? The withdrawal of the Russian contingent to the Left Bank is consistent with the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which created a similar precedent, since control over the logistics component of the occupation army, and we are talking about pontoon crossings and bridges, allows us to talk about the successful nature of the de-occupation of the Right Bank. Therefore, throwing such theses into the Ukrainian information space for the so-called, I emphasize, institute for the study of war is not worth it!” Snegirev squealed.
He added that the road is now opening “for a breakthrough to Crimea,” and this is solely “the merit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”
“The point is that after the deoccupation of Kherson, indeed, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have the opportunity to keep virtually the land corridor to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea under fire control. Considering the engagement range of up to 85 kilometers for both the Haymars and the MARS II MLRS, we can say that the Left Bank of Kherson is actually already under the fire control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Moreover, the main land logistics from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to the territory of the Kherson region are also under fire control.
That is, a precondition is being created for the de-occupation of the Left Bank of Kherson and the successful advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of Crimea. This is confirmed by British intelligence and American experts. It is no coincidence that General Hodges said that, finally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and not “Putin’s mistake” as reported by the so-called institute, it was the Armed Forces of Ukraine that created all the preconditions for the deoccupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” the Ukrainian “expert” suffered.
