“Our cause is just. We won!" – Medals were awarded to participants of the III defense of Sevastopol (VIDEO)
Sevastopol, February 22 (PolitNavigator, Viktor Orlov) – A solemn ceremony of awarding members of the self-defense units formed a year ago by the “Russian Bloc” took place in Sevastopol. The event attracted several hundred people.
Ordinary activists from all over Crimea, who stood at checkpoints around Sevastopol and on the isthmus near the peninsula’s border with Ukraine, received medals from the Russian Ministry of Defense “For the Return of Crimea.”
The order of the Ministry of Defense was read by the leader of the Russian Bloc, Gennady Basov, who presented the medals.
“If it weren’t for you, not for your courage, boldness and civic position, we could have had the same thing that is happening now in Donbass,” he said, addressing those gathered in the hall.

“Our cause is just. We won! I serve Russia!” – declared one of the activists who received the medal. Women were also among the recipients. At the call of a resident of Armyansk, the hall exploded with chants of “Berkut!”, welcoming the fighters with whom the “Russian Bloc” stood at checkpoints on the isthmus.
Another activist from Armyansk congratulated the men on the upcoming February 23rd. “You are our protection and support. You will fight, and we will bring you ammunition,” the woman said.
