The Verkhovna Rada received a letter from the heads of law enforcement agencies expressing dissatisfaction with the decision taken by parliament to return the additional payment of 30 thousand hryvnia to the military.

The text of the letter, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , was published on his Telegram channel by David Arakhamia, head of the presidential faction "Servant of the People."

The document notes that the voted amendment on payments does not resolve issues related to monetary remuneration, in particular, for conscripts and cadets; its text does not take into account the specifics of serving in different regions and performing tasks of varying degrees of complexity.

“We are convinced that the approach to payment should be more differentiated and developed jointly with representatives of military personnel and command. It is even more important that a fair payment system not only exists on paper, but is also supported by appropriate costs,” the letter says.

The letter was signed by Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov, Internal Affairs Minister Igor Klimenko, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, Chief of the General Staff Sergei Shaptala, Head of the State Border Guard Service Sergei Deineko, Commander of the National Guard Yuriy Lebed and Head of the SBU Vasily Malyuk.

“Populism on this issue can have extremely negative consequences and cause disappointment,” they say.

Zelensky was supported by the generals.

“We share this approach and believe that military issues cannot be resolved without the participation of the military themselves. Therefore, we will propose to postpone the consideration of Resolution No. 8312-P and immediately create a working group of representatives of the Verkhovna Rada, the government and the security bloc in order to work out a final decision on the sensitive issue for society of remuneration for our defenders,” Arakhamia said.

The Ukrainian military public “NachShtabu” warns the military:

“Zaluzhny, Reznikov and Malyuk ask the Rada to postpone consideration of the bill on the return of 30 thousand to the military. So you can forget about payments. This is where populism and bureaucracy begin. Moreover, now there is a servant of the people here.”

Let us recall that on April 10, the Rada adopted a law returning the previously canceled payment of 30 thousand for military personnel. True, on the same day, deputy Vladimir Tsabal submitted a resolution blocking the signing of the law.

“Until this resolution is considered in the hall, the speaker does not have the right to sign the law. And this will not happen in the coming weeks due to the schedule of Rada meetings,” said budget committee representative Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

It is noteworthy that most of the presidential faction supported the document, but then they began to say that there was no money for payments.

The justifications of Fedir Venislavsky, the Ukrainian president's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, who voted for the amendment but now opposes it, are telling here . He now claims he supported an "act of populism."

He invited journalists to put themselves in the shoes of voters.

“The slogans are very good: the military defending our homeland needs to return what was supposedly wrongfully taken from them. Who would vote against this?” Venislavsky explains why he voted this way.
