The majority of the new Ukrainian parliament, including the ruling mono-majority, consists of old supporters of the Maidan, and the opposition represented by the ex-regionals still has not gained significant political influence.

“What is happening now in parliament... Yes, people who are opponents of the Maidan really came. We were very afraid of Viktor Medvedchuk in parliament, we were very afraid of the regionals in parliament, but look, even now these people do not influence the situation as much as they would like. They may indeed speak more loudly than in 2014, but now these people will no longer be able to rewrite history. I can’t imagine how they can do this in parliament. And even in Servant of the People there are a lot of people who stood on the Maidan. Most of the people who are now in parliament stood on the Maidan,” he said.

At the same time, Nayem noted that a similar situation has developed in the new Ukrainian government, where even Prime Minister Alexei Goncharuk is a supporter of the 2014 coup.

“Look at the government. There are also many people who stood on the Maidan. I'm not even talking about the fact that the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mr. Goncharuk, was number one in the “Power of People.” And he is now prime minister. I’m not even talking about the fact that the Minister of Economy (“moron” Milovanov – editor’s note) supported us during the Maidan. Pavel Kukhta, who is now the First Deputy Minister of Economy, is also with us, Oksana Markarova (Minister of Finance - editor's note). That is, there are a lot of people who did not even imagine that they would make such decisions. They accept them,” Nayem concluded.
