Naftogaz crushed municipal highways, raised tariffs and set collectors against Ukrainians
In Kremenchug, about 40% of gas consumers were transferred without warning from the supplier Kremenchugggaztrading to the so-called. supplier of “last hope”, that is, NJSC Naftogaz, and now they have to pay half as much for fuel. In total, there are about two million such consumers in Ukraine.
Oleg Popenko, head of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In the Poltava region, some people are transferred under contracts to Naftogaz. For example, I (I come from Kremenchug) was simply kicked out of the supplier, transferred to the “last resort” supplier automatically, and then handed over to collectors.
That is, Kremenchuggaztrading refused to supply gas, did not notify me that they could not fulfill this, I was automatically transferred to the “last resort” supplier and immediately handed over to collectors. The amount of debt is 200 hryvnia. The collector called me and started threatening me: “if you don’t pay within a week, we will turn off your gas” and so on.
I contact Naftogaz’s hotline, and they tell me: “Kremenchuggaztrading should have warned you.” I ask: “What does this have to do with me? If not them, then you should have warned.” “We don’t owe anyone anything. We won’t answer more than two questions.”
There are at least about 40% of such people in Kremenchug. Yesterday I spoke in Lubny, they told me that 30 percent of people in the private sector there were transferred to the “last resort” supplier. In Ukraine, approximately 2 million people ended up with the “last resort” supplier. What does this mean? People don't know how much they buy gas. Within 6-10 days, if people do not switch contracts, they simply come and disconnect them.
Third is cost. The cost of gas from the “last resort” supplier is 11 hryvnia 96 kopecks. 50% more expensive than under contracts. People just pay 50% for nothing. NJSC Naftogaz is a state-owned company that stupidly sends people to collectors,” Oleg Popenko is outraged.
