Military observer Viktor Baranets stated this on the Internet channel “Red Lines,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We abandoned the march of the Immortal Regiment. Because such a gathering of people, it can gather for two million - and they will definitely stage a provocation with the help of a drone. Or there may be people who will leave something in this crowd, and it will explode.
This cancellation is not because we are afraid of anyone. We're just concerned about keeping our people safe. By canceling the march of the Immortal Regiment and the Victory Parade, we are primarily concerned about the safety of people. And I don't think we're sacrificing any image. This is human life,” the expert said.
However, he added that the Russian leadership should demonstrate its capabilities and begin striking Kyiv.
“I have one hope - that our command and political leadership will nevertheless be worthy of showing the people that our arms are long. And drones can fall not only in the Moscow region, but also in the center of Kyiv. This is not our choice. Kyiv is a beautiful city, but fools rule it,” added Baranets.
