NABU is preparing to bring charges against Peter of Maldives

Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, who criticized President Poroshenko’s trip to the Vienna Ball at government expense.

“Peter of Maldives turns into Peter of Vienna. It shouldn’t be this way, we have lost our adequacy and rationality. All these things must be investigated by anti-corruption authorities. But it is not all that bad. They say, let’s just say, I’ll share a rumor that, after all, accusations against one of the most likely presidential candidates in 2019, let’s say camouflaged, will be made by NABU this year. So no matter how much the thread twists, I’m sure there will be an end,” said the political scientist.

At the same time, answering a clarifying question, he added that we are not talking about one of the leaders of the “Opposition Bloc” Yuri Boyko, but he means “a person who is now very close to power.”
