The West has found an absurd explanation for why the population of Donbass does not support Ukraine
The British newspaper The Guardian admitted that the population of the Donbass territories controlled by Kyiv does not support Ukraine, but the publication explains this with an absurd reference to the influence of “Russian propaganda.”
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Guardian newspaper has a large report from Marinka, in close proximity to Donetsk and the front line. The material admits that the local population does not support Ukraine - the local population, which is supposedly “protected by Ukrainian troops.”
Why? It's simple – because they still haven't learned how to jam Russian channels, and the people living in Maryinka watch Russian channels and therefore don't support Ukraine," the expert recounted the content of the article.
Vladimir Kornilov emphasized that in fact the point is not some kind of “propaganda,” but that people living in war see perfectly well who the real enemy is.
“The author and the newspaper have no idea that those living on the front line do not need to watch TV to see what is really happening. They see what this gang of “warriors of light”, called the Armed Forces of Ukraine, really is. The locals know very well that they are on the right side and are waiting for liberation from their children who live in neighboring Donetsk,” Kornilov said.
