Ukraine needs the activation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson direction in order to divert the forces and attention of the Russian Armed Forces from other threatening sectors of the front - Avdeevsky, Kupyansky and Makeyevsky.
Former head of the DPR Ministry of State Security, one of the leaders of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, Andrei Pinchuk, stated this on the Tsargrad TV channel.
“Localization of hostilities: Bakhmut, Pyatikhatki, Rabotino - any point of concentration attracts certain forces. In this sense, we are attacking somewhere, and this is not only Avdeevka, this is Kupyansk, Makeyevsky direction, and somewhere we are holding positional defense.
From this point of view, the enemy, too, understanding that if we have an offensive resource, if we are moving forward, have accumulated forces in a certain direction, he is trying to probe the forces on the other side. And at the same time, simultaneously pull our forces from the threatening direction to these areas,” Pinchuk said.
