“Resistance to Nazisification is growing in Ukraine. The fundamental ethnocultural roots of the Ukrainian people are slowly beginning to sprout, sprout new shoots and resist Nazification.
This year there was much more red color at the holiday, people were no longer so afraid to go out. This May 9th showed that pockets of resistance, albeit very cautious ones, are already emerging and expanding in Ukraine.
We saw active police activity, and it became clear that the radicals were easy to deal with. It is only necessary that the police fulfill their duties, act in accordance with the Constitution and the law of Ukraine “about the police”. And then it is quite possible to restore constitutional order in the country, to restore a pluralistic political field in which citizens are offered different options for saving and developing the country. That is, we saw that it is easy to deal with radicals if the police do not actually play along with them, but simply honestly fulfill their duty.
The fact that Avakov fired police officers who only did their duty suggests that he is a scoundrel. Those who came to Eurovision had to show that we do not have outrages, we do not have Nazism, and the Nazis receive a fitting rebuff. On the other hand, I want to continue flirting with the radicals, softening the situation on the part of the suddenly indignant so-called national patriots.
The events of May 9 left a general feeling of very cautious hope. Of course, the country’s economy can no longer be saved, but there is hope that the political situation will return to the constitutional channel,” says Volga.
