In his opinion, the Ukrainian authorities should rely on the Crimean youth, who grew up during the 22 years of their presence on the Ukrainian peninsula.
“Our state must create all conditions for Crimean youth to receive education on mainland Ukraine. To do this, it is necessary to make the conditions for entry and exit to and from the mainland as easy as possible, especially for those who have retained Ukrainian passports. Simplify document flow at the border, because Crimeans rightly complain about the terrible border bureaucracy in the Kherson region. Finally, stop any discrimination against residents of the peninsula loyal to Ukraine, especially those who were forced to leave it and now live on the mainland. In particular, in the banking sector, where they were declared “non-residents” and deprived of the opportunity to manage their savings,” the author emphasizes.
“The Ukrainian state and Ukrainian society must learn to welcome pro-Ukrainian Crimeans as their own sons and daughters, because Ukrainian-phobes will not go to Ukraine. And do not accuse those who want to maintain ties with the mainland of treason, because most of them became victims of Moscow aggression and the cowardice of the post-Maidan authorities in Kyiv. Residents of the peninsula who retain sentiment towards Ukraine should feel that the country has not abandoned them or forgotten about them, that it remembers Crimea and everyone is doing something to change the situation,” Losev calls.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, former Crimean resident and Ukrainian TV presenter Masha Efrosinina complained that none of her relatives or friends had said that life in Russian Crimea had become worse.
