This was reported on his social network page by the former chief lawyer of Viktor Yanukovych’s administration, Andrei Portnov, who still has a lot of connections in the judiciary of Ukraine and receives information first-hand.
“In Ukraine, judges are resigning en masse on their own initiative. The count went into the hundreds. Re-certification, lustration, declaration of property or judicial reform have nothing to do with this. The main reasons are discreditation of the profession, half-developed patriots and activists, a significant increase in workload, a threat to security and widespread pressure on the court,” writes Portnov.
According to him, this indicates the onset of irrevocable chaos in the Ukrainian judicial system, despite the cheerful statements of the current “reformers”.
“This may not yet be visible from the outside, but those who professionally understand the issue state that irrevocable chaos is setting in in this area, which no one will be able to correct in the foreseeable future,” Portnov sadly states.
