Radio “Chanson” was fined in Ukraine for a song glorifying the “aggressor” fleet
The National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting fined the television and radio company “Chanson” for Denis Maidanov’s song about the Russian naval fleet almost 300 thousand UAH.

“Based on the results of an unscheduled inspection of Chanson Television and Radio Company LLC, by decision of the National Council on December 22, the broadcaster was fined in the amount of 25% of the license fee for broadcasting a song about the navy of the aggressor country.
The National Council recognized the violation of “Television and Radio Company “Chanson” LLC, part two of Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine “On Television and Radio Broadcasting” and imposed a fine on the licensee, which amounted to UAH 294.
During monitoring by the National Council on November 2, on the broadcaster at a frequency of 101,9 MHz in Kiev at 19:22, a broadcast of Denis Maidanov’s musical work “Pacific Ocean” was recorded, the text of which contains elements of propaganda of aggressive actions, namely the popularization and propaganda of military - the navy of the aggressor state, in particular the following lines: “Weeks of campaigning - such work is to serve the Motherland faithfully. Our bearing is not empty - it is combat duty, but the sea is stormy and stormy. The awards and ranks are not the same in civilian life; you won’t find beauty here. A wall of hands and backs of real men – the Russian Military Marine!”
This fact indicates a violation of part two of Article 6 (the use of television and radio organizations to call for war, aggressive actions or their propaganda is not allowed) of the Law of Ukraine “On Television and Radio Broadcasting” and is the basis for applying the sanction of “collection of a fine” in accordance with part eight of Article 72 of this Law,” the message says.
“This is an unprecedented fact when a song is heard on Ukrainian radio that glorifies the Russian fleet at a time when there is actually a war with this country,” said Sergei Kostinsky, a member of the National Council, indignantly.
The National Council indicated that this is the second such case recorded on radio “Chanson”. Last time, the National Council took into account the explanation of the situation of the program presenter, who took such liberties; the company was then given a warning and was obliged to remove the song from the air.
