In Ukraine, they are wondering where the Russian landing force will strike
In fact, the Sea of Azov has turned into a “Russian lake”, from where it could strike Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe” by the editor-in-chief of the BlackSeaNews portal, chairman of the supervisory board of the Maidan of Foreign Affairs Foundation, Andrey Klimenko.

According to him, Ukraine should be wary of a Russian landing operation.
“The war is not over. Perhaps one of its first stages has ended. The only question is how, where and from where. For some reason, I have a feeling that the Russians will not go any further in Donbass. Firstly, they are afraid of new sanctions, the reaction of the international community, and major military losses. But on the sea... The Sea of Azov is a 100% Russian lake,” says Klimenko.
He recognizes that Russia has an absolute advantage at sea.
“In addition, they have an advantage on the eastern shore of the Azov Sea. Rostov, Yeysk is the most powerful Southern Military District in the Russian armed forces. It has marines, aviation, special forces, which, among other things, constantly conduct exercises and training. Also, during the years of occupation of Crimea, Moscow greatly strengthened the Black Sea Fleet. At sea, they are many times superior to us and, of course, are considering options for how to use this.
What, as young people say, is the fun of the landing operation? Let's assume that you are on the coast, and the enemy is in the center of the Azov Sea. You don't know where exactly it will hit because the distance to all possible points is approximately the same. But it is simply impossible to protect the entire coast at once, and add to this misinformation among the population and other factors. You won't guess where the landing will strike. The entire Ukrainian coast in both seas is a dangerous area for landing,” the expert warns.
At the same time, he admits that in the coming years Ukraine cannot respond with anything other than asking NATO ships for constant combat duty in the Black Sea.
