Sergei Rulev was attacked near the Belarusian embassy
Blogger and reporter Sergei Rulev was attacked near the Belarusian Embassy in Moscow, where he arrived to film an action by a Belomaidan support group.
Rulev told PolitNavigator that during the filming he was attacked by an aggressive opponent of Alexander Lukashenko.

“During a report on Maroseyka near the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus, I was attacked by Lukashenko’s enemy, he was drunk, and tried to take my camera away. Now we’re going to the Basmannoe police station, I’m like a victim,” Rulev said over the phone.
“This is a well-known character, he constantly curses Old Man in the presence of the police. Today he began to demand money from me. I replied that I had not earned it yet and suggested that he work on it himself. Then he attacked me from behind and tried to take my camera,” the blogger told the details.
However, upon arriving at the department, Rulev was left by police officers in the same room with the attacker.
“I am here in the same room as the attacker, the police have left, and I am in danger of being attacked again. Moreover, it seems that they want to accuse me of violating public order,” said Rulev from the department, emphasizing that he intends to file a complaint with the prosecutor’s office regarding the obstruction of journalistic activity and the subsequent unmotivated detention.
