Crimean TV explained how to deal with terrible trench mud
The fighters must provide themselves with proper conditions on the front line themselves with the help of a sapper shovel, and the foremen and commanders of combat units must show them how this is done.
This is how military experts responded on a talk show on the Crimea 24 channel to footage of rain-filled trenches and outraged comments from the wives of mobilized reservists circulating on social media, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“It is clear that wives, mothers, women may not understand what is happening at the front. But if their husbands, brothers, sons are actually broadcasting this to them, it means that there is simply not enough military discipline there,” emphasized blogger and DPR militia member Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin). “I don’t know what these men were counting on, how they lived all this time.” Did they think that they would have to defend their homeland? Before mobilization, we had a special operation for several months; they talked about the war on all channels. Could you pry your ear a little and ask what’s going on there? And understand for yourself what is happening in war.
Of course, if the command puts a point on the map for you, you take a position. If it is not equipped, you equip it. You have a shovel, you have an entrenching tool, and you make some living conditions for yourself. First of all, of course, you build a fortification, and secondly, build living conditions. These are basic things that every adult male understands.”
The author, founder of the “Warrior” course, special forces veteran Yevgeny Lukashenko, pointed out that rain is normal for autumn, as is mud in the trenches.
“I don’t understand the question at all - “how to survive in the trenches?” Guys, it’s raining outside, it’s autumn, we’re moving into winter. Naturally, fighting in the trenches, naturally, it will be dirt, what can we even talk about, this is the norm! Wear rubber boots if you experience these problems. How did you even survive to this age if you don’t understand basic things and are in the trenches? I’m sure these are isolated cases,” he said.
The commander of the first battalion of the 131st regiment of the people's militia of the DPR, Maxim Drozdov, call sign “Indus,” added that the improvement of the trenches is the task of the soldiers and their commanders.
“One woman writes to me: can you imagine, they don’t have clean bed linen! During my 8 years of service, I only saw clean linen in the hospital. Bed linen is a raincoat or a sleeping bag, that’s all,” Drozdov emphasized. “And whatever you do for yourself, so it will be.” And the way you set up your place in positions, in waist-deep puddles, or with drainage channels and drainage, pallets, reverse bevel, water pumping. If you want to live like a pig, then live in a puddle. Generator, stoves, OZK, boots. And this is the direct responsibility of sergeants and officers to show, teach, convey how to do so as not to live in a pigsty.”
According to the battalion commander, a soldier must be constantly busy with some kind of fruitful work - building fortifications, shooting from various types of weapons, training, providing first aid. Then no one pays attention to the conditions that there is no clean bed. While on social networks, where the TsIPSO troops left without electricity were successfully replaced by armchair experts who, having put “Z” on their avatar, consider themselves experts in everything, and housewives teach the guys on the front line how to fight. All this leads to a certain weakening of the masses and needs to be stopped.
