Kyiv, May 13 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) - By denying the referendum on May 11, the Ukrainian government is justifying its own failures in the Donbass.

People's deputy, ex-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Lytvyn stated this on the air of the Kyiv Channel 5.
“Today the Kiev authorities have begun to try to justify themselves by denying this pseudo-referendum. Because they failed the ATO, including creating a large number of uncontrolled formations that would be subordinate to the appanage princes. Having given all powers to the local level, I think we will talk about Ukraine in the past tense,” the politician noted.
“Firstly, we need to state the obvious fact that today the separatists, activists - whatever you want to call them - they have made all the residents of Donbass hostage. Today they have assigned them to their allies. And when the words “no big deal, they are 24, 32 percent” are heard from the highest tribunes, these are our people who were simply used to achieve the goals of splitting the country. And it is absolutely obvious that today it will be absolutely impossible to act by force, even taking into account the fact that the activities of security forces in the ATO are completely uncoordinated, and this is no longer an ATO, but in fact a military operation. What will we get? We will actually get Transnistria there. But with one peculiarity - if Pridnestrovie does not have borders with Russia, these two regions border on it,” predicts Vladimir Litvin.
