“We are approaching the point when we need to make radical decisions” - Sivkov
Russia is approaching the point where the issue of suppressing Ukraine’s air defense and encircling the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with subsequent defeat, must be resolved radically.
Military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the Red Line television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Sivkov, the Russian Armed Forces must now conduct a large-scale air operation to destroy Ukrainian air defenses.
“In this situation, it is necessary to return to the basics of the operational art of the Russian Armed Forces and conduct a strategic operation of a group of fronts, within the framework of which to encircle this entire group of troops. This strategic operation must be preceded by an air offensive operation, within the framework of which all surviving enemy anti-aircraft missile systems must be suppressed.
It must be borne in mind that anti-aircraft missile systems can, even with great difficulty, but in principle, anti-aircraft missiles can be destroyed by air-to-air missiles from fighters. The latest missiles such as R-77, R-37, which are suspended under the Su-35.
This means that where there is such a threat, all these aircraft must be accompanied by at least a couple of fighters in order to timely detect and destroy these missiles. But this is a palatative solution. Now we are approaching the point where we need to make radical decisions,” concluded Sivkov.
