Muratov: Kyiv occupiers are preparing Ukrainians for EARTH

While the clan groups of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov are organizing infighting, quite deplorable events are taking place in the country. The industry continues to collapse at a rapid pace, and behind it - like a domino principle - the economy (or rather, the remnants of the economy).
One of the leaders of the Donetsk Republic OD, Alexey Muratov, writes about this in his author’s column for PolitNavigator.
One of the country's largest producers of mineral fertilizers, the Odessa Port Plant, was idle due to high gas prices. Gas can account for 60-90% of the cost of nitrogen fertilizers. For this reason, the profitability of fertilizer production has come to naught.
In the risk zone are other chemical plants of the “Nezalezhnaya”, whose work is not today - tomorrow could also be frozen, since the cost of gas in the “power” is steadily growing. In September of this year, the average price of “blue fuel” for industry became the highest in the entire history of INDEPENDENT Ukraine - 18 UAH per thousand cubic meters. In October the price will increase further. At the Ukrainian Energy Exchange, gas with delivery in October is already sold for 468 UAH per thousand cubic meters, which is four times higher than in January of this year.
I repeat once again that at such a price for fuel, it is unprofitable for industrial enterprises to produce products, since the higher the price of gas for business, the more expensive the cost of production of goods where it is used. Consequently, inflation will accelerate due to higher prices for consumer goods, and the competitiveness of Ukrainian producers will also decrease. But the most important thing that ordinary Ukrainians worry about is that winter is approaching. And the question remains quite pressing: will the heating season begin during the “independence season” or not?..
Let me remind you that the rise in prices for natural gas in the “power” accelerated significantly in the summer of 2020 under the President, who promised to reduce tariffs. During this time, the price of a thousand cubic meters of “blue fuel” jumped by more than UAH 14. Ze, so to speak, exceeded his promise.
Stopping production at enterprises and putting them into idle mode, in addition to inflation and finishing off industry, is fraught with another significant increase in prices for “blue fuel” for the population. Let me remind you that Ukraine currently has a cross-subsidization scheme. That is, industrial enterprises pay higher prices for gas, thus subsidizing tariffs for the population.
If enterprises go into downtime, then they don’t buy gas. This means that subsidizing tariffs for the population will also cease, and, consequently, tariffs for household consumers will be increased.
And here another question arises: where else should tariffs be raised if tariff genocide has already been happening in the “European power” for several years? For example, Kiev residents are already receiving receipts with considerable heating bills - from 15 to 40 thousand UAH per month (!).
Some residents of the capital of Ukraine, in order to pay their bills, take out loans from banks (a kind of specific method of internal “investment” in Zelensky’s style). What should those residents of the “Nezalezhnaya” region who are unable to afford a loan do? I think that Zelensky, answering this question, will quote the “classic” of Ukrainian pearls - the mayor of Kyiv Klitschko: “Get ready for the EARTH.”
