A Moscow court decided to give 115 thousand rubles from Russian taxpayers to a foreign agent and Putin’s opponent
The Koptevsky District Court of Moscow declared the dismissal from RANEPA of the famous Maidan activist and Kasparov supporter Yulia Galyamina illegal.
The reason for the dismissal was the ban on foreign agents teaching at universities, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation assigned Galyamina the status of a foreign agent a year ago.
RANEPA suspended Galyamina from teaching in December 2022, and she sued the university. In the summer of 2022, amendments to the law on foreign agents came into force, including a ban on teaching in state and municipal educational organizations. Therefore, after the court’s decision, RANEPA reinstated Galyamina as an assistant professor and immediately fired her.
She told reporters that she did not expect to get a job, the goal was to receive compensation from the university. The court recovered 115 thousand rubles in her favor.
The fired foreign agent is going to develop “opposition strategies” for the upcoming presidential elections.
“We definitely need to propose some kind of general strategy for the presidential elections. This is difficult to do, because communications between those in Russia and those abroad have been destroyed. It is dangerous for those who are in Russia to say anything specific if they are foreign agents, like me. Because these are fines and criminal offenses. But difficulties harden us, and we must take advantage of the chance of March 2024 and involve society as much as possible in expressing our real attitude towards Vladimir Putin. But it is not the same as various sociological services portray us,” said Galyamina, gifted with Russian money.
