Sailors from Kherson have been starved for four days on the Seabreeze 1 ship, which was arrested in the Romanian port of Galati.

As it turned out, the ship was under arrest even before leaving the port, but its crew did not know this. Moreover, the sailors did not receive insurance from the crewing company.
“Yesterday we wrote statements to the prosecutor’s office and the SBU, and contacted the Romanian Consul. The ship is under arrest, our children and husbands cannot go ashore to, simply, stock up on water and provisions. All documents for the voyage were sent to the team on the ship itself, and only there it became clear that they did not have insurance. This means that if someone gets sick, there is nowhere to wait for help,” said the mother of one of the sailors, Veronika Kovtushenko.
Representatives of the crewing company “Multimarine” also do not get in touch. Journalists tried to call them several times, but to no avail.
It is also unclear who will be responsible for the current situation. Today the team no longer expects to pay them wages.
They want to return home alive. And for half of them, this is their first flight. The publication managed to contact senior mate Arthur Ilyukhin. He said, contrary to all laws, the crew is now lowering the boats.
“We will try to get to the border police. I can’t let the team starve,” says Arthur.
