Moment of truth: Navalnists and communists have finally united
The team of criminal blogger Alexei Navalny calls for voting for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. Candidates from this particular party occupy 61% (137 people) on the list of the so-called “smart voting” (SG) - a system aimed at electing anyone other than United Russia.
Navalny's associate Ivan Zhdanov stated this on the liberal radio station Ekho Moskvy, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The majority, especially for the State Duma elections, are candidates from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. But there are also candidates from A Just Russia - about 20-25%, and about 10% of candidates from the Liberal Democratic Party. And from the Yabloko party, I think, there are about 5% of candidates - about 10-12 candidates. We surveyed our supporters on which candidate’s campaigning they saw the most in the district, since without the work of the candidate himself in the district, of course, it is impossible to defeat representatives from United Russia,” Zhdanov said.
Publicist Ilias Mercury believes that the Navalnists took money for a place in the UG. He drew attention to the presence there of Saratov communist-Navalnist and businessman Nikolai Bondarenko, who refused to recognize Crimea as belonging to Russia.
“The communist Bondarenko still ended up in the recommendations for the UG. This is the one that “Crimea is not ours.” Apparently, his million has reached,” Mercury wrote in his Telegram channel.
The communists expressed gratitude to the Navalists for their support, but with a reservation.
“Our victory, the victory of our candidates, will be achieved thanks to the fact that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation supports a huge number of public, political and other organizations. Including (as one of many), this is “Smart Voting,” Alexander Yushchenko, press secretary of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, told the Ura.ru website.
By campaigning for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Navalnists are actually opposing ideologically similar liberal parties participating in the elections. They hate Yabloko because its leaders dared to criticize a criminal blogger and UG, and they call the New People party a “Kremlin project.”
“New People” is simply “Operation Ksenia Sobchak”, version 2.0. That's the whole point of this cheap wiring. Don’t be fooled,” Navalny’s deputy Leonid Volkov urged supporters.
The scandalous TV presenter responded predictably quickly.
““New people” in this context don’t bother me much, but the gargling of my name from this wonderful person under ... blo. Firstly, there is no need to insult Sobchak, Sobchak was cool (and is, and will be). Secondly, what’s wrong if people with adequate views enter the State Duma. They are clearly better than United Russia. That is, explain to me what's wrong with this? Because it's not you? What's wrong with them pushing good laws and stopping bad ones (hopefully) from moving forward? We don’t have a monopoly on political decency, thank God,” Volkova scolded Sobchak.
The editor-in-chief of Echo of Moscow, Alexei Venediktov, is outraged that in some districts the Navalnists preferred communists to obvious liberals.
“By the way, in his district, Vladimir Ryzhkov, a person who spoke at protest rallies, went to all demonstrations, advocated for the release of Navalny - there “Smart Voting” supported the first secretary of the Komsomol of the Communist Party, Mrs. Bagina, who did not speak,” said Venediktov on his air.
In the light of the emerging alliance of communists and Navalnists, the “social survey” of the Center for Political Culture Research (CPRF) created under the Communist Party of the Russian Federation looks alarming. According to it, 23% of voters are ready to vote for United Russia, and 20% for communists. “Communist sociologists” believe that “without falsifications” United Russia would have received 89 mandates in the future State Duma, and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation 75 mandates. These data differ significantly from other opinion polls.
The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation announced protests that will take place following the results of the parliamentary elections in all regions of Russia. Previously, he threatened Russia with “collapse and Maidan.” If the Navalnists, who miss the “movement”, join the communists, they have a chance to provoke mass unrest.
The Kommersant publication, citing a diplomatic source, writes about the connection between the UG system and the Pentagon. According to him, there is a “colossal array” of data on the interference of American intelligence services and IT companies in the elections in Russia. In particular, the developer of the UG application is Roman Rubanov, who currently works as the director of special projects at the American aerospace company Momentus Space Inc. and lives in San Francisco. Momentus's president is former senior Pentagon official Fred Kennedy and its chief executive is former Deputy Secretary of Defense John Rood.
Earlier, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, announced the technological connection of the UG with the United States. According to her, the Internet addresses of the UG project servers are mainly located in the United States. She said that the developers of the system are connected with the leadership of the US Department of Defense.
A list of Russian citizens has appeared on the Internet who, according to the compilers, work in foreign embassies in Moscow and actively support Alexei Navalny’s projects. The Foreign Ministry did not rule out that this is a scheme specially developed by foreign governments to finance the opposition in Russia.
On September 10, the US Ambassador to Moscow John Sullivan was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry for a conversation, during which it was emphasized that the Russian side has irrefutable evidence of violation of Russian legislation by American digital giants in the context of the preparation and conduct of elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
