Mitkova: Russia is still losing the information war
Famous TV presenter Tatyana Mitkova believes that Russia is losing the information war because its means of struggle have been taken away.
She stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel "Empathy Manuchi," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“This is a difficult topic, because the information war must be waged by all available means, but they have been taken away from us. They were simply blocked. I mean that broadcasting of absolutely all Russian TV channels in Ukraine and Moldova is prohibited. Armenia is going to stop broadcasting. Therefore, I think that, unfortunately, we are losing the information war, if we talk about the outside world,” Mitkova said.
At the same time, she believes that current Russian television provides more information than in the notorious “era of freedom of speech” of the 90s.
“It seems to me that never before have the government and the military been so open. In the 90s, with their wars and the onset of terrorism, this was not even a thing. They don’t hush up anything, they answer all the questions – despite the fact that our opponents are processing the audience – bless you. And the Internet helps them. But what can you do here,” said Mitkova.
