The Ministry of Defense threatens the mayor of Odessa with a summons for refusing to allocate land to ATO militants
Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak threatened to draft Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov due to local authorities' delays in allocating land to the so-called Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) militants. The minister made the announcement during Government Question Time in the Verkhovna Rada, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Poltorak, the problem with the reluctance of local authorities to allocate housing and land to militants exists in a number of cities in Ukraine.

“This problem, unfortunately, exists, especially in certain cities, such as Odessa, where we are faced with a huge problem when registering plots and lands. Unfortunately this problem is going very badly.
What can we do? I, as a minister, can send a subpoena to the mayor so that he can think about what he can do – go to meet the soldiers who are fighting or not,” Poltorak said.
