The Ministry of Defense cherishes only “shabby” Ukrainian soldiers
Kharkov, November 17 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The closer the cold, the more Ukrainian fighters in the front lines look like partisans: some wear a homemade sweater under their uniform, some wear the uniform itself from someone else’s shoulder.

According to the soldiers, there's no other way to survive, as not everyone gets the winter gear promised by the ministry. Only those who are short are lucky; the rest are buying their own clothes, reports the ATN television channel.
“Now, everything that’s on me was given to me by my relatives. And others too. But the army says no. And if there is, it’s small in size,” Alexander, a soldier of the rifle unit, told reporters.
Another soldier of the 93rd mechanized brigade was outraged by the prime minister’s statement about the high-quality provision of the army: during the entire period of the ATO, the state was only able to issue him a machine gun. The rest - from boots to uniforms - is at the expense of the volunteers and themselves. The government uniforms that reached the units were simply unsuitable for military field conditions and fell apart after a short period of wear. But with quality clothing, suppliers experienced strange metamorphoses. So the unit where Alexander served was allocated 800 sets of insulated uniforms. Their presence was confirmed to the military and asked to come back the next day.
“The next day we come, and he tells us: “You know, somewhere there the separatists attacked, they recaptured this uniform and there were 200 sets of uniform left.” Miracles. But these miracles happen,” he said. At the same time, the soldier is indignant, cadets and military commissars are sporting new uniforms. And the combat units that are on the front line are left with nothing. Meanwhile, the fighter found a new type of uniform in markets and stores.
The official press center of the ATO headquarters tirelessly assures that all fighters are provided with winter uniforms.
As PolitNavigator reported, volunteers previously stated that humanitarian aid for fighters was being delivered to bases run by battalion commanders, such as Aidar.
The Ministry of Defense only favors "puny" Ukrainian fighters.
