The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine bought back part of the debt obligations issued under the “restructuring” of the external debt, carried out under Yaresko, at prices above par, allowing the holders of these securities to earn money.
Viktor Suslov, former Minister of Economy of Ukraine, announced this on the NASH TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Ukraine was obviously deceived, including the American Natalka Yaresko, who was our Minister of Finance. She deliberately acted against the interests of Ukraine, in the interests of the so-called. vulture funds that have ruined many developing countries, driving them into crippling debt. It was her job to issue these warrants.
It would even be necessary to cancel this release in court, to prove that this is a crime against Ukraine, that it was a deception carried out by a foreign citizen in relation to Ukraine.
But the government took a different path. I would like to remind you that over the past two months, the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance has purchased several hundred million dollars of these warrants and securities, and at a price above their face value. So our Ministry of Finance is playing along with our creditors who want to make big money in Ukraine,” concluded Viktor Suslov.
