“International organizations did not care about Azov’s prisoners” – mother of a militant
The world community and international organizations remain suspiciously silent regarding the attack on the pre-trial detention center in Yelenovka, DPR, when a mass of captured “Azovites” died.
The mother of a prisoner of war militant from the Azov regiment, Nelya Shastun, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, the Ukrainian woman traditionally operated with delusional arguments.
“The defenders of Azovstal, whom the enemy was unable to defeat in battle, were tortured and brutally killed. But there has still been no proper reaction from the civilized world to this crime; there has been no reaction for forty days. This terrorist attack was also directed against relatives of Ukrainian fighters. For all forty days they are in an information vacuum about the fate of their loved ones, each living in their own personal hell, dying every day, because there is no information about how many people died, who exactly, who was injured, where the living are.
Now the enemy is killing Ukrainian prisoners of war with impunity, who should be protected by international humanitarian law, and the world is throwing up its hands.
I often ask myself why the world reacted to the executions of ISIS, but not to the terrorist attack in Yelenovka? Why was the prison at Guantanamo Bay (a camp for persons accused by the US authorities of various crimes, in particular terrorism - ed.) closed (it was not closed - ed.), an investigation conducted (no one carried out - ed.), and the murderers and executioners our military remain unpunished? We don't need words of concern, excuses of helplessness, or revenge. We demand justice,” Shastun wailed.
