The mayor-businesswoman poured water on an opposition deputy
The mayor of the city of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, Odessa region, Alla Ginak, poured water on a deputy of the Opposition Bloc Senik, who supported the townspeople who demanded a reduction in the water tariff.
The incident occurred at a session of the City Council on April 18, reports the publication “04849”.
Residents of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky held a picket in front of the city council building demanding a reduction in water supply tariffs, which in this regional center are the highest in Ukraine - 35 UAH per cubic meter. In addition, people complained that the water was of dubious quality and demanded that the authorities conduct an analysis of it.
The activists went to the City Council hall and participated in the discussion along with the deputies. And they were supported by the Opposition Bloc faction. Frustrated by the situation, Ginak, who is one of the largest businessmen in Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, doused the objectionable deputy with water.
The majority of deputies voted against reducing tariffs. After considering the issue, a fight broke out between one of the activists and the journalist.
