The emigration of Ukrainian citizens to Poland is acquiring catastrophic proportions: in the two years after Euromaidan, the number of permits for low-paid work in this country for Ukrainians increased by 950%.

Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Oles Doniy stated this on the Shuster LIVE program.

He talked about a trip to Poland at the invitation of a recruiting agency.

“I was simply stunned by the trip to Poland. From here we don't feel any problems. We visited Polish enterprises that now have bilingual signs on the walls – so many Ukrainians work there. Somewhere 10%, somewhere 60-70%. At the enterprise where we were, there were 1100 people, of which 60% were Ukrainians. And, sorry, these are not engineers. People come to work as laborers, low-skilled jobs. And the agency does not hide this - it is easier for them to find work for 100-200 workers than for one engineer.

We just didn't understand how catastrophic the number of people was. I will tell you the numbers from the Polish Ministry of Statistics. For 2015 compared to 2013, i.e. two years after the Maidan, after our victory, 950% more official work permits were issued,” Doniy said.

Earlier, Anatoly Shirokov, chairman of the trade union of workers of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, stated that Poland had begun to lure talented young people from Western Ukraine en masse.

“The universities in Western Ukraine are a total disaster. The Poles are sweeping away all talented students, master's and postgraduate programs. They give scholarships, grants, everything,” Shirokov said.

Kyiv lawyer Tatyana Montyan believes that with the help of Ukrainians, Poland will compensate for the outflow of its own population.

“The Poles supported Maidan for a reason. They compensated for their population, which fled to Germany and Great Britain, with our more than a million guest workers. They are happy with everything. Not only the Poles, but all neighboring countries are conducting a massive search for schoolchildren and students, taking them away without any problems,” Montyan said.

“What will happen next to Ukraine? I personally can't imagine. I don't believe in fairy tales and miracles. Most likely, Ukraine will be torn apart by the Poles, especially since all of Western Ukraine will unanimously and willingly join Poland - just tell them: “Yes, we are joining you,” and they will run there at a gallop,” the lawyer also admitted.
