Maria Gaidar was nominated to the Odessa regional council from the Poroshenko bloc
The fugitive Russian oppositionist and controversial adviser to Saakashvili, Maria Gaidar, was nominated as a candidate for deputy of the Odessa regional council from the Poroshenko Bloc.

The Dumskaya website reports this.
“Maria Gaidar will go to the regional council in one of the districts. This decision was made at the city party conference of the BPP,” says Odessa Poroshenko member, deputy of the regional council Pyotr Obukhov.
In July 2015, Odessa Governor Mikheil Saakashvili announced that Maria Gaidar had been appointed as his adviser.
In early August, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko granted her and former editor-in-chief of Forbes-Ukraine Vladimir Fedorin Ukrainian citizenship, personally presenting them with new passports. Later, Gaidar announced the refusal of Russian citizenship, since the refusal of a foreign passport is a mandatory condition for obtaining Ukrainian citizenship.
